Duval County is (for all practical reasons) Jacksonville, Florida's largest city, both in terms of population (just over 1,000,000) and geographic size. Indeed, at 874 square miles, Jacksonville is the geographically largest city in the contiguous 48 states! There are several metro areas in Florida which are larger, including Miami, Orlando, and Tampa. Jacksonville supports major sporting events (such as Superbowl 39) and teams (including the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars). There are also many cultural activities, concerts, and other opportunities available here. Only a small subset of the golf course communities in Duval County are listed below. DEERCREEK COUNTRY CLUB is a gated community near the Avenues Mall.
DEERWOOD is a true Country Club in southern Duval County.
GLEN KERNAN GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB may be Jacksonville's most prestigious golf and country club community.
HIDDEN HILLS COUNTRY CLUB is well named, being located in an area of rolling terrain near Fort Caroline, and offering the ammenities of a true country club. As of 06-Dec-2014, there was one home on the golf course in Hidden Hills Country Club listed for sale, priced at $385,000.
JACKSONVILLE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB is an established, gated community centrally located in the Southside area.
PINE LAKES GOLF CLUB offers an 18 hole links-style golf course within a small gated community of 157 acres. As of 06-Dec-2014, there were no golf course homes in Pine Lakes listed for sale.
QUEEN'S HARBOUR GOLF & YACHT CLUB offers both an excellent golf course and deep water access.  Queen's Harbor has a fresh water marina and some waterfront homes.
WINDSOR PARKE is a semi-private 18-hole Arthur Hills golf course which has been given a 4 star rating by Golf Digest.
