Ponte Vedra Beach
This upscale community at the center of the First Coast is the headquarters of the PGA Tour, and the home of more PGA professionals than any other city
in the nation.
Naturally, it boasts multiple golf course communities, including TPC Sawgrass, site of The Players Championship each year.
Ponte Vedra is also the headquarters of the ATP Tour (men's professional tennis).
Originally, this community was called Mineral City because of its mineral rich sands that were mined
for their titanium content during World War I.
Later, it became a golf course resort area and eventually a full-fledged community.
On some older maps, a small village named Palm Valley (now completely surrounded by Ponte Vedra Beach) is shown at this location.
The Ponte Vedra Beach area fills the north east tip of St. John's County and is nestled between Duval County and the Atlantic Ocean.

TPC SAWGRASS is the site of the Tournament Players Championship every year.
There are three 18 hole courses, including the private "Oakbridge Golf Club"
course. The "Stadium" course (site of the TPC Championship) has only a few homes bordering it; while the "Valley" course
